A heady bouquet of marsala spices, musk and black pepper with scents of red and blue flowers overlie a deep, tightly knit bouquet of dark berries and plums knit with aromatic cedary and meaty oak. ItÕs long, succulent and fine-gained, with a seamless marriage of pristine spicy fruit, fresh oak and fine, chalky tannin, finishing with exceptional length and focus.
A long-term shiraz of style and elegance whose heady, lustrous perfume of violets, redcurrants, blackberries and tight-knit cedary oak reveals undertones of five spice and mint. ItÕs long and fine-grained, with a piercing intensity of pristine fruit all down its supple, dusty spine, finishing fresh but quite savoury with remarkable persistence and balance.
Very wild and funky, with a meaty, leesy and almost cheesy bouquet of blue and red berries backed by fresh cedary oak. Smooth and polished with a measured, almost silky presence of sweet mulberries and cassis, this medium-bodied red culminates in an elegant, savoury and funky finish. Its reveals more volume of vibrant fruit with aeration.
Very elegant and sophisticated, this gentle, supple and almost savoury shiraz has a delicate, faintly herbal bouquet of small red flowers, redcurrant and small red berries backed by hints of dark plum and reserved notes of creamy cedary oak. ItÕs brightly lit, vibrant and almost confiture-like, with a core of fruit that builds intensity and structure towards the finish. A real movement in what Coonawarra shiraz can become.
Harvested early, this delicate and perfumed shiraz needs time to flourish. ItÕs dusty and faintly stalky in its youth, with subtle aromas of red cherries, berries and plums backed by notes of cinnamon and cola. Medium in weight, smooth and measured, its lively presence of small dark berries and plums deftly knits with restrained oak and supple, almost sappy tannins that are beginning to reveal more firmness.
Supple, fine and elegant with a lively, vivacious presence of cassis, blackberries, mulberries and dark plums backed by gentle chocolate/cedar/vanilla oak and underpinned by pliant, dusty tannins. Scented with gamey, meaty notes, suggestions of dried herbs, cola and paprika, itÕs medium-bodied, smooth and seamless, extending with length and style towards a mouthwatering finish. A Rhne-inspired wine, it will certainly evolve more meaty charm and complexity.
