Pungent, meaty and spicy aromas of raspberries and red cherries, mulberries and cassis are earthy and slightly reductive. Cedar/vanilla oak is scented and perfumed with white and black pepper, cloves and nutmeg. Robust, leathery palate revealing evolved, complex and meaty animal hide flavours, clearly made in a rustic, Rhne-like style of some conviction. Firm and smooth, framed with supple, fine tannins.
Firm, long and structured Margaret River shiraz with genuine cellaring potential. Its deep, dark and densely packed aromas of cassis, plums and blackberries reveal nuances of briar, smoke and a hint of undergrowth. A sumptuous palate of perfectly ripened shiraz fruit soaks up its assertive new oak, while its tannins are both fine and astringent.
A balanced and well made shiraz whose deeply spiced, peppery fragrance of sweet red and black berries, cassis, plums and sweet vanilla/cedar oak reveals musky undertones of animal hide and a tomatoey aspect. Polished by smart new oak, its long and firmish palate delivers tightly focused but slightly sharp-edged, tomatoey and herbal fruit and smart new oak framed by firmish, fine tannins.
A sumptuous, smooth and polished Margaret River shiraz that avoids the excessively tomato-like and greenish elements not uncommon with shirazes from this region. Its slightly meaty and gamey aromas of cassis, violets, dark chocolates and cedar are lifted by a viognier-enhanced floral perfume. Framed by firm, pliant tannins, it is long and lavishly oaked, expressing a luscious, meaty and powerfully accentuated shade of dark berry/plum flavour. Finishing with a lingering core of fruit and licorice-like spices, it’s very balanced and savoury.
Fine-grained and savoury, with a smoky fragrance of cassis, blackberries and raspberries with peppery, spicy undertones handsomely backed by spicy, perfume French oak. Its smooth, cultivated palate of piercingly fresh and alluring cherry/plum fruit knits tightly with smoky oak and polished, crunchy tannin. It finishes long and vibrant, with a lingering meatiness.
Savoury, polished and measured, this shiraz reveals dusty, peppery and spicy aromas of delicate red and black berries, tomato stalk and dried herbs. Medium to full-bodied, itÕs finely made but has morphed into a typically rather exaggerated and obvious Margaret River shiraz with a sweet, forward presence of tomatoey berries and plums tightly knit with seasoned cedar/vanilla oak, backed by spicy notes of licorice and cloves and underpinned by fine, bony tannin.
Deep, dark and savoury, with a concentrated, jujube-like aroma of intense cassis, blackberries, dark plums and chocolate/cedar oak lifted by a whiff of black pepper and spice and revealing briary, smoky undertones of mocha and vanilla. Supported by firmish, loose-knit tannins, itÕs densely packed with flavours of black berries, cassis, raspberries and plums, with undertones of blueberries and fresh cedar/mocha oak. It finishes spicy, savoury and slightly mineral, with a distinct herbal edge.
Very spicy and silky-smooth, with slightly exaggerated aromas of red cherries, pepper and spice, plus a fragrant lift from newish chocolate/cedar oak. Tightly knit with smoky mocha oak, its intense red berry, cassis, and plum-like fruit is underpinned by suggestions of tomato stalk and fine, dusty, powdery tannins, finishing finely balanced, with genuine length of fruit, structure and fresh acids.
Laced with violet-like, spicy and peppery aromas, this finely balanced and structured shiraz is steeped in scents of cassis and blackberries backed by fine-grained chocolate/cedary oak. ItÕs measured, elegant, sweetly fruited and handsomely oaked palate is underpinned by fine, silky tannin, bursting with pure dark berry/plum fruit before finishing long and pure, with a lingering blueberry and licorice-like note.
A fuller, evenly ripened and Rhney shiraz of intensity and balance. Its spicy, briary scents of cracked pepper, blackberries, dark plums and cassis reveal undertones of cured meats and polished cedar/vanilla oak. Smooth and generous, its penetrative small berry flavours neatly mesh with smoky, bacony oak and powdery tannins, finishing long and savoury with a hint of minerality.
Very fine and elegant, with a dusty, spicy and faintly herbal bouquet of sweet redcurrants, raspberries, cassis and fresh cedary oak overlying meaty, licorice-like notes and a whiff of white pepper. ItÕs medium to full-bodied, long and smooth, revealing layers of brightly lit red, blue and black fruits supported by fine, crunchy tannins. Charmingly balanced, it finishes with a mouthwatering acidity.
