Cedar/vanilla oak is scented and perfumed with white and black pepper, cloves and nutmeg. Robust, leathery palate revealing evolved, complex and meaty animal hide flavours, clearly made in a rustic, Rh™ne-like style of some conviction. Firm and smooth, framed with supple, fine tannins.

    A balanced and well made shiraz whose deeply spiced, peppery fragrance of sweet red and black berries, cassis, plums and sweet vanilla/cedar oak reveals musky undertones of animal hide and a tomatoey aspect. Polished by smart new oak, its long and firmish palate delivers tightly focused but slightly sharp-edged, tomatoey and herbal fruit and smart new oak framed by firmish, fine tannins.

    A sumptuous, smooth and polished Margaret River shiraz that avoids the excessively tomato-like and greenish elements not uncommon with shirazes from this region. Its slightly meaty and gamey aromas of cassis, violets, dark chocolates and cedar are lifted by a viognier-enhanced floral perfume. Framed by firm, pliant tannins, it is long and lavishly oaked, expressing a luscious, meaty and powerfully accentuated shade of dark berry/plum flavour. Finishing with a lingering core of fruit and licorice-like spices, it’s very balanced and savoury.
