Rather herbaceous blend with snow pea-like aromas of raspberry and plum confection over nuances of cherries and menthol. Forward and weedy, its lean palate of under-ripe fruit finishes thin and sappy.
An elegant and brightly flavoured shorter-term cabernet blend with a sweet, slightly cooked and oaky aroma of menthol-like fruit, cedar and vanilla. Smooth and creamy, its moderately full palate is intense and lively, lacking great depth but pleasingly tight and well structured.
Delicate floral and cedary aromas of black plums, cherries and mocha oak reveal capsicum-like herbal undertones. Full to medium weight, it’s long, smooth and supple with black berries, plums and cherry fruit firmly framed by pliant tannins. Elegant and harmonious, with a lingering core of flavour that almost conceals its thread of greenness.
Rather varnishy and volatile, with cooked, stewy fruit and ordinary oak backed by a firm, drying extract of raw tannin. Lacks length and focus.
Heady and floral, with a perfume of violets, dark cherries, cassis and cedar/vanilla oak backed by suggestions of dried herbs, this fine-grained and loose-knit blend depends rather excessively on its chocolate/mocha oak to smooth out its slightly short, thin, soupy and green-edged palate.
Rather plump and juicy for this vintage, but likely to ease back with elegance and style. Scented with a lightly dusty bouquet of black and red berries, plums and cherries backed by cedar/vanilla oak and undertones of dried herbs. Long, smooth and supple, with a loose-knit undercarriage of pliant tannins and harmoniously integrated cedary oak, it marries ripeness and elegance, finishing with freshness and balance.
A charming, early-drinking blend whose sweet, heady floral perfume of blackberries, raspberries, cassis and fresh dark cherries is marched by sweet cedar/vanilla oak and backed by nuances of briar and bay leaf. ItÕs supple and elegant, with fine, supple tannins and a juicy present of forward fruit, but becomes marginally cooked and currant-like towards the finish.
Deeply flavoured, elegant and restrained, this charming, elegant blend has an intense bouquet of blue flowers, cassis, raspberries, dark cherries and polished cedar/vanilla oak with dusty, faintly herbal undertones. Smooth and supple, its long, measured and evenly paced impression of fruit is supported by firm but fine, loose-knit tannins, building towards a crescendo of blueberry and dark plum flavour.
Underpinned by a dusty, herbal thread, this elegant, and faintly sappy young red has a fresh bouquet of red cherries, plums and cassis backed by cedar/vanilla oak and a hint of cranberry. ItÕs smooth and sweetly fruited, with a supple, powdery spine beneath its juicy flavours of small black and red fruits, but finishes with a faint impression of under-ripeness.
A supple, early-drinking cabernet blend whose lively floral bouquet of bright red berries, plums and fresh cedar/mocha oak reveals a hint of menthol. Underpinned by fine, crunchy tannins, itÕs supple and savoury, with brightly lit red berry fruit knit with fresh cedary oak but becoming a little sappy, thin and tomatoey at the finish.
