  • BlackJack Shiraz 2011
    Jeremy’s score 86/100

Polished and finely made, this rather thin, greenish and hollow shiraz has a dusty, lightly herbal bouquet of blackberries, dark plums and cedar/chocolate oak. Full to medium-bodied, its initially intense presence of cassis, blackberries, dark plums and fresh oak thins out down the palate, finishing slightly edgy and metallic.

  • BlackJack Shiraz 2017

    Rated 0 out of 5

Juicy, jujube-like raspberry, redcurrant fruit and creamy vanilla/coconut oak with scents of dried herbs and mint precede a round, approachable but moderately firm and minty palate that finishes with length and freshness.

  • BlackJack Shiraz 2018
    Jeremy’s score 89/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Juicy, slightly confectionary, with pristine cassis, redcurrant-like fruit knit with creamy, faintly smoky vanilla oak and supported by fine, velvety tannins.

  • BlackJack Shiraz 2021

    $42.00

Delicious Bendigo shiraz whose intense presence of blackcurrant, redcurrant, dark plum and mulberry fruit is backed by cedar/chocolate/vanilla oak and supported by a fine but firm spine of powdery tannins. There’s plenty of cracked pepper and eastern spice, with undertones of roasting meats and polished leather. Delightful to enjoy now, but ready to go plenty of distance.

  • BlackJack Shiraz 2023
    Jeremy’s score 91/100

    Rated 0 out of 5
    $42.00

Scented with eastern spices, blood plums and small red berries, this round, generous and polished shiraz marries its vibrant, juicy fruit to cedar/vanilla oak and a loose-knit spine of mineral tannin. There’s a hit of mint and menthol about this flavoursome, smooth, moderately rich and dark-fruited expression of central Victorian shiraz.
