A stylish, elegant and grown-up sauvignon blanc whose intense fragrance of cassis, gooseberries and lychees reveals suggestions of creamy yeast-derived complexity and a hint of oak. It’s forward and vivacious, medium-bodied and complete, delivering a lingering core of juicy flavour that moves long and pure towards a savoury and faintly saline finish, wrapped in refreshing acidity.
A rustic, developing merlot whose bouquet of cherries, cranberries and raisins reveals faintly leathery and herbal notes. The palate is a little hard and linear, with some slightly jammy aspects as well as under-ripe vegeal aspects supported by green-edged tannins and finished with acids that remain a fraction awkward. From a warmer season – perhaps a little too warm.
Pristine aromas of dark plums, dark cherries with gentle oak and earthy, meaty undertones are lifted by sweet floral scents. Underpinned by fine, loose-knit tannins, it reveals a juicy core of plums, berries and cherries knit with cedary oak, extending with purity and balance. Delicious.
Pristine, heady aromas of raspberries, red cherries and a whiff of citrus oil are lifted by scents of rose petals and a hint of spice. Medium in body, it’s long, mouthfilling and gentle, with a translucently clear palate underpinned by fine, slatey tannins. It finishes smooth and refreshing. A wonderful summer wine.
Irresistibly perfumed and vivacious, this delightful pinot meunier massively over-delivers. A fragrance of red and blue berries, red cherries nsd rose petals reveals suggestions of underbrush, spice and citrus oil. Medium in body, it reveals a plump core of juicy flavour that extends down a powdery spine of fine tannins towards a long and refreshing finish. It makes you feel Spring has sprung.
A slow-developing riesling with a heady, floral perfume of lime, pear and lemon zest. It’s long and succulent, with a wonderful length of generous fruit easing down a fine, dusty undercarraige towards a marginally sweet finish balanced by racy lemon-lime acids.
Pristine scents of iris, white flowers, apple skin, pear and lime juice; long and luscious; stonefruit, apple and a hint of tropicals, mouthwatering and faintly sweet. With time has evolved more richness, roundness, depth of flavour, with notes of toast, butter and kerosene beginning to emerge. A spotless, essential riesling.
