Supple and gentle, this pristine and finely balanced pinot has a heady, rather seductive perfume of rose petals, sweet red cherries, raspberries and earthy, cedary undertones. Medium to full-bodied, it’s long and willowy, steeped in intense flavours of dark cherries, raspberries and sweet plums knit with fresh cedar/vanilla oak and underpinned by a fine, crunchy backbone. It finishes with delightful focus and a refreshing acidity.
A finely crafted contemporary chardonnay with poise and balance, whose delicate perfume of citrusy melon fruit marries with the spicy cinnamon and clove of tight, reserved oak and cleverly integrated lees and malolactic influences. Beginning sumptuous and fleshy, with excellent weight and texture of ripe mealy fruit and toasty oak, the palate settles with a long, savoury and mineral finish.
Racy, minerally chardonnay of exceptional length, balance and tightness. Its jasmine-like fragrance of honeysuckle, lemon and nutty, spicy oak precedes a tight-knit palate of length and restraint. Its concentrated sweet core of vibrant citrus fruit integrates tightly with restrained oak, before a lingering finish of bracing acidity.
A chardonnay of exceptional brightness and crystalline minerality. Its vibrant floral perfume of peach and citrus fruit reveals undertones of nutty, biscuit-like and creamy oak, while its palate unfolds layers of intense, complex flavours and textures. Remarkably long and focused, finishing with a brittle austerity.
A richly textured and handsomely structured chardonnay that simply needs time. Its floral perfume of citrus and melon fruit overlies tightly knit, spicy new vanilla oak influences, while its long, juicy palate has a baby fat-like texture that culminates in a typical mineral finish of tightness and austerity. Delightfully complex, finely balanced and tightly focused.
A sophisticated, taut and stylish chardonnay with excellent length and balance. Its restrained and slightly oaky bouquet opens to reveal layers of citrus, melon and pineapple over wheatmeal and floral nuances. Its smooth, measured palate seamlessly marries restrained but piercingly intense flavours of melon, pineapple and grapefruit with spicy vanilla oak, before a lingering austere and mineral finish.
Spicy aromas of grapefruit, lemon sherbet, pear and ginger are backed by sweet vanilla oak and suggestions of clove. Rather rich, broad and oaky, its spicy and slightly candied palate of lemony fruit and nougat-like undertones has a slippery, viscous mouthfeel that is tightened somewhat by a brittle, crunchy acidity. Lacks its usual shape and focus.
Slightly confectionary and very oaky, this evolved and rather oxidative style presents a round and juicy expression of nectarine, quince and melon flavour rather assertively backed by butter/vanilla oak and mealy undertones. Punctuated by a taut acidity and finishing with genuine minerality, it does however leave a slight impression of rawness.
