Finely crafted and deliciously spicy, this silky young pinot has a slightly meaty aroma of fresh red cherries, dark plums, rose petals, cloves and cinnamon over sweet nuances of cedary oak and faint suggestions of mint and undergrowth. Long and smooth, with a lingering core of bright, sappy fruit, it’s generously flavoured, long and savoury. Despite its elegance, it reveals genuine structure and texture.
Brambly, slightly herbal aromas of maraschino cherries, raspberries and cranberries precede a smooth, elegant palate whose stylish expression of mouthfilling small fruits conceals a light herbaceousness that might diminish or become more tobaccoey. It’s underpinned by fine, silky tannins and is likely to build quite handsomely.
Very subtle, supple pinot whose delicate floral perfume of musk, cloves and cherries reveals a pronounced oakiness and meatiness. Long, even and fine-grained, its measured palate builds in weight and intensity of red cherry, raspberry, redcurrant and sweet plum fruit, reaching an assertive crescendo of flavour backed by dusty vanilla oak and very fine, powdery tannin. Likely to build in the bottle, it finishes with lingering sweet fruit and a hint of orange rind.
Supple and gentle, this pristine and finely balanced pinot has a heady, rather seductive perfume of rose petals, sweet red cherries, raspberries and earthy, cedary undertones. Medium to full-bodied, it’s long and willowy, steeped in intense flavours of dark cherries, raspberries and sweet plums knit with fresh cedar/vanilla oak and underpinned by a fine, crunchy backbone. It finishes with delightful focus and a refreshing acidity.
A finely crafted contemporary chardonnay with poise and balance, whose delicate perfume of citrusy melon fruit marries with the spicy cinnamon and clove of tight, reserved oak and cleverly integrated lees and malolactic influences. Beginning sumptuous and fleshy, with excellent weight and texture of ripe mealy fruit and toasty oak, the palate settles with a long, savoury and mineral finish.
Racy, minerally chardonnay of exceptional length, balance and tightness. Its jasmine-like fragrance of honeysuckle, lemon and nutty, spicy oak precedes a tight-knit palate of length and restraint. Its concentrated sweet core of vibrant citrus fruit integrates tightly with restrained oak, before a lingering finish of bracing acidity.
