A luxuriant and deeply flavoured chardonnay whose concentrated fragrance of pristine melon, citrus and tropical aromas are tightly knit with sweet, buttery and vanilla oak, which is also the source of some underlying clove and cinnamon-like complexity. It’s voluptuous without a hint of over-ripeness, with lingering melon and pineapple flavour culminating in a tight and refreshing finish of citrusy acids. Wonderful balance and integration.
Elegant and complex, with a spicy, floral and musky bouquet of quince, melon, cumquat and nectarine knit with clove and cinnamon-like oak, undertones of wheatmeal and butterscotch. Long, fresh and fluffy, its plush and sweetly fruited palate has a faintly candied aspect that is likely to disappear with time. It finishes with smoothness, elegance and finesse.
Generous and deeply fruited, this warmer season chardonnay retains plenty of its usual elegance and style. Backed by some fragrant, sweet oak, its vibrant bouquet of peach, melon and grapefruit reveals fresh creamy, nutty, yeast-derived undertones. Knit with fresh vanilla/cashew-like oak, its elegant and slightly spicy core of intense citrus and melon flavour extends long and juicy towards a marginally edgy finish that is certain to settle down with time in the bottle. Cellar with confidence.
Long and elegant, this is a long-term wine that demands further cellaring. Its faintly buttery, cashew-like fragrance of apple, pear and pineapple reveals notes of lemon zest and tropical fruits. With genuine suppleness, but also some fatness and roundness suggestive of cold pressed olive oil, its translucently clear core of juicy lemon and pineapple flavour drives towards a lingering finish of lemony acids. Give it time.
Luxuriant and stylish, this pristine and translucently clear young chardonnay has a bright bouquet of grapefruit, pear and apple underpinned by nuances of fresh vanilla oak and creamy yeast-derived notes.
