The finest release under this label for many years has a sweet pristine violet-like bouquet of dark plums small berries and dusty oak Its long silky and savoury with a vibrant length of dark sour-edged cherries and plums polished oak and a lingering minerality underpinned by supple loose-knit tannins
Tight and very closed this finely balanced merlot has a spicy lightly peppery and dusty bouquet of dark cherries plums and cedarvanilla oak and a fine elegant palate neatly wound around a pliant spine of powdery tannin Wrapped in pleasing acidity its long and focused with an introverted core of black and blue berry flavour that will become more expressive and generous with time
A smooth elegant and dusty merlot whose faintly herbal and cedary aromas of blackberries blueberries dark plums and cherries are bright and floral Supported by a fine-grained drying backbone its very reserved and gentle opening up with breathing to deliver a smooth presence of dark fruit and oak that finishes with balance and polish
Restrained minty and gentle with lively dark cherry and plum fruit
Minty notes of dark plums chocolates and cassis with a faintly sour-edged firmish palate
Reflecting a warmer vintage slightly baked and spicy but lacking genuine freshness and intensity of fruit Medium in weight with reasonable length and some firmness
