Strong and handsomely oaked, this assertive, long-term cabernet unfolds deep layers of fruit and perfume, with intense but earthy aromas of cassis, briar and spicy, slightly meaty cooperage backed by nuances of briar and dried herbs. ItÕs firm but pliant, with a deep, spotless presence of cassis, mulberries and dark plums tightly knit with fine-grained, chocolate/savoury oak, finishing with exceptional length and lingering nuances of cola and herbs.
A finely honed and classically drilled long-term cabernet whose heady, floral and sweetly oaked bouquet of cassis, mulberries, dark plums, cedar and chocolate reveal undertones of dried herbs and violets. Deeply ripened, its long, complete presence of black and blue berries and plums knits tightly with creamy cedar oak, overlying a firm, powerfully structured spine of graphite-like tannins, finishing quite savoury with lingering notes of minerals and a hint of leather.
A substantial, concentrated but finely balanced cabernet for the very long term. ItÕs deeply layered, with brambly fragrance of profoundly ripened black, red and blue fruits laced with scents of violets and supported by fresh, tight-grained cedar/vanilla oak. Powerfully constructed, with a plush presence of intense, sour-edged dark plums and berries wrapped around a fine, grainy backbone, itÕs long and astringent, finishing with exemplary length and balance.
A luxuriant and worthy successor to the 2010 vintage, whose lustrous if slightly closed bouquet of cassis, small red fruits and polished cedar/vanilla oak overlies nuances of dried herbs and a hint of roasting pan juices. It steadily unfolds layers of small dark and red berries, fresh fine-grained oak influence and drying, ultra-fine, oak-derived tannins, finishing supremely long and persistent with a refreshing acidity. More supple and elegant than previous releases under this label, but with exceptional cellaring potential.

Polished and stylish, it’s scented with violets, cassis, mulberries and tight-grained cedar/vanilla oak, with dusty, chocolatey undertones. ItÕs long and cedary, with layers of vivacious fruit, subtle herbal notes and artfully knit oak deftly supported by firm, crunchy tannins, finishing with drive, polish and fine balance.
Heady, smoky and cigarboxy aromas of violets, dried herbs, dark plums and mulberries are perfectly oaked and ripened. It’s long, elegant and artfully composed, unfolding a stylish, tightly sculpted and medium to full-bodied palate of pristine, vibrant fruit and tight-knit oak. The fine, gravelly tannins deliver measured firmness and drive. It’s a superb reflection of the season and the region.
Floral, faintly earthy aromas of mulberries, cassis, raspberries and cedar reveal a hint of citrus. ItÕs long, restrained and elegant, with a gentle, supple core of small black and red berries knit with restrained cedary oak and pliant fine tannins. Very old school.
Now quite mature, this minty, leathery and slightly old-fashioned shiraz cabernet reveals a moderately intense bouquet of red berries, blood plums, cassis and mulberries with earthy, meaty undertones and a herbal, menthol-like note. ItÕs restrained and quite complex, with an evolved, chocolatey palate retaining plenty of fruit sweetness. Supported by a dusty, fine-grained spine, it extends towards a gentle, drying finish of pleasing length and shape.
Very supple and stylish, this classically elegant shiraz cabernet blend has a delicate, dusty and faintly herbal bouquet of sweet red cherries, plums, mulberries and fresh cedar/vanilla oak lifted by musky scents of red flowers. It’s elegant and willowy, with a sweetly oaked core of translucent, minty red fruits extending down a powdery spine of loose-knit tannins towards a long, savoury and faintly licorice-like finish of refreshing acidity. A typical 2004 vintage of effortless charm and balance.
