Honest medium-term cabernet blend whose violet-like aromas of slightly stewed small red and black berries also reveal some meatiness and herbal undertones. Medium in weight, the palate presents some intense berry fruit flavour augmented by slightly varnishy, cedar/vanilla oak, finishing with herbal edges and firm, fine tannins.
Smooth, silky and harmonious, this lightly minty Clare red blend has a cassis, plum and red berry-like fragrance backed by floral nuances of dried herbs and menthol, with sweet vanilla/cedar oak in support. Long and even, it’s brightly flavoured with small berries and undertones of eucalypt, while cedary oak and firm, but fine tannins lend structure and mouthfeel. Pleasing balance and brightness.
A rather soupy red blend whose dull, meaty and oaky aromas of plum-like fruit and cooked palate of sugar-ripe but flavour-deficient fruit lack intensity and brightness. It finishes sappy, thin and herbal.
Simple, rather jammy and meaty flavours of cassis and dark plums overlie slightly raw and mocha-like oak, with undertones of mint and dried herbs. There’s plenty of forward intensity, but it finishes with a powerful extract of hard-edged tannin as well as herbal and metallic influences. A rustic style Ð it needs time to flesh out.
Cooked and stressed fruit has resulted in a minty, greenish, raisined and currant-like red with some juicy and forward dark berry and plum-like fruit backed by restrained cedar/vanilla oak, but which breaks up towards a slightly metallic and edgy finish with herbal undertones.
Plush, ripe and generous, this balanced and stable young wine has a ripe, brambly bouquet of dark plums, cassis, blackberries and fresh cedar/vanilla oak laced with nuances of mint, dried herbs and a whiff of menthol. Its juicy palate of dark, confiture-like fruit, chocolate/vanilla oak and firm, bony tannins reveals nuances of mint and cedar, finishing with a vibrant core of rich fruit.
Smooth and approachable, but this apparently fast-ripened, earthy and slightly leafy cabernet blend lacks genuine depth and emphasis of fruit. Meaty and leathery, with undertones of dried herbs and baked plums, itÕs medium to full in weight, presenting a moderate length of rustic, rather edgy fruit and pliant tannins.

Evolving leathery, earthy aromas of red berries, dark plums and cedar/chocolate oak reveal nuances of mint and menthol. ItÕs long and elegant with some vibrant, juicy forward fruit, but itÕs also slightly greenish, with both under and overripened influences supported by faintly edgy, metallic tannins. It should soften and flesh out over the short to medium term.
Youthful and gangly, with an earthy, meaty and faintly jammy bouquet of blackberries, mulberries and redcurrants backed by sweet cedar/vanilla oak. Underpinned by a typically regional mint/menthol influence, its ripe fruit moves steadily down a firmish, drying spine of chalky astringency, finishing with lingering sour-edged flavours and a finely balanced acidity. Give it time to settle.
Stylish, measured and evenly paced, this gentle and finely crafted cabernet blend reveals a deep, dark-fruited bouquet of plums, cassis and a hint of cherry backed by cedar/chocolate oak and a trace of dried herbs. It’s smooth and polished, fullish to medium in weight, with a pristine core of fruit that builds intensity down its long, fine-grained spine towards its dusty, savoury finish.
Minty, juicy and brightly lit, with fresh small red and black berry flavours knit with coconut/cedar/vanilla oak and supported by a fine, supple spine. ItÕs long and chocolatey, with a lingering mintiness and jamminess.
