Assertively backed by smoky, almost soupy oak, are deep, rather closed and brooding aromas of meaty dark fruits, white pepper, cloves and cinnamon. Framed by firm, powdery tannins, its intense, briary palate of cassis, blackberries, plums and briar also receives sweet, coconut ice-like oak, finishing long, dark-fruited and mineral. Very sumptuous and concentrated, with regional nuances of mint and menthol.
Deep, concentrated and very oaky, this slightly baked, winter fireside red reveals a smoky, slightly spirity presence of chocolate and minty dark plum and berry flavours backed by lingering notes of eucalypt and menthol. ItÕs sumptuous and forward, with a moderate length of fruit and an assertive presence of smoky coffee grounds-like oak.
Dense, assertive and concentrated, with ultra-ripe but not overcooked fruit. Deep, densely packed layers of heavily spiced blackberries, dark plums and smoky vanilla American oak reveal nuances of dark chocolate and mint. ItÕs sumptuous and concentrated, with a firm, drying backbone of fine-grained tannins, finishing with length and persistence. Give it time.
This dark, ultra-ripe shiraz reveals deep, rather raisined but marginally dried out flavours of blackberries, prunes and treacle backed by dusty nuances of dark olives. Minty and rather porty, itÕs knit with smoky vanilla/mocha oak, framed by sinewy, drying tannins and finishes quite baked and currant-like.
A long-term, massively concentrated red whose intense bouquet of cassis, dark plums and cedary oak has a pleasing floral lift and a minty background of dried herbs and eucalypt. Firm and extracted, itÕs densely packed with deep flavours of dark plums and berries backed by older oak and wrapped around a drying spine of astringent tannins, finishing with length and balance. Give it all the time you can.
