  • Paul Jaboulet Cotes du Rhone Villages 2020
    Jeremy’s score 89/100

    Rated 0 out of 5
    $27.00

A medium-bodied blend with an earthy, stony bouquet of red berries, dark plums, blueberries and licorice and an evolving, leathery palate whose modest depth of flavour finishes rather drying and without great length.

  • Paul Jaboulet Saint-Joseph 2020
    Jeremy’s score 89/100

    Rated 0 out of 5
    $48.00

Fragrant and spicy, musky and floral, it’s scented with dark berries, plums and cherries with meaty undertones and notes of cedar and coffee grounds. Long, smooth and polished, it’s fractionally jammy and over-ripened, underpinned by fine, drying tannins that don’t quite provide genuine structure. Lacking great length of fruit, it does finish savoury and faintly meaty. A good, very honest wine that is quite competitive for its price.

  • Paul Osicka Grenache 2025
    Jeremy’s score 92/100

    Rated 0 out of 5
    $35.00

This deeply perfumed, sumptuously fruited and vivacious grenache has an appealing colour of deep red with a trace of blue. Scented with rose petals, cranberries, redcurrants and blood plums, it’s lifted by a whiff of mint and dried herbs. Gently oaked, it’s long and seamless, revealing a mouthfilling core of simply delicious fruit underpinned by a fine slatey spine. It finishes long and persistent, with lingering suggestions of red licorice and a soft acidity. A stunner.

    Pauletts Aged Release Riesling 2007
    Jeremy’s score 91/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Now developing genuine style and character, this fuller, broader expression of Clare riesling reflects a warmer vintage. ItÕs toasty, slightly oily and smoky, with burnished aromas of lime juice, minerals and chalk backed by waxy complexity. Round and creamy, itÕs long and elegant, with a surprisingly youthful presence of tangy lime juice and lemon rind characters finishing with length, minerality and a tightly focused, bracing acidity.

    Pauletts Aged Release Riesling 2008
    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Developing quite quickly but along classical lines, this generous, toasty and honeyed riesling reveals fresh, voluminous but slightly oily and buttery aromas of lime and lemon fruit backed by waxy complexity. Round and creamy, its pleasing length of buttered toast, lime and lemon meringue flavour is underpinned by a fine chalkiness before finishing with a taut, steely edge. Very complete and finely balanced.
