A craftsman’s chardonnay of structure and suppleness. Fragrant, but reserved citrus and stonefruit aromas integrate with fresh, smoky fine-grained oak, creamy lees and bacony malolactic influences. It’s long, fine and creamy, with a bright core of vibrant fruit finishing cleanly with tight acids.
Seamlessly elegant chardonnay with a complex and restrained bouquet of peach, melon and grilled nuts, fine-grained vanilla oak and a hint of lanolin. Its stylish, silky palate presents a bright core of peach, nectarine and tropical fruit delivered with a delicate, fluffy texture. Tightly knit with creamy oak and fine phenolics, it’s the finest chardonnay yet from this maker.
A particularly stylish, smooth and seamless chardonnay of elegance, brightness and intensity. Its delicate floral perfume of pear, apple and white peach is enhanced by tightly integrated vanilla and spicy oak, with creamy, leesy nuances of cashew and wheatmeal. Long and silky, it effortlessly delivers pristine, vibrant chardonnay fruit wrapped in a lingering finish of soft acids and faint undertones of sweetcorn.
A little firmer than usual, this dry and savoury chardonnay retains its typical intensity and depth of flavour. Backed by sweet butter/vanilla oak, with light mineral-like undertones, its fresh aromas of white peach and melon reveal a suggestion of wheatmeal. Smooth and creamy, its generous and silky palate of ripe peach/melon fruit is underpinned by a finely powdered chassis, culminating in a lingering finish of persistent flavour and fine extract.
Well handled, but slightly under and overripe, this creamy, leesy chardonnay reveals nuances of green olives, cashews, wheatmeal and dried flowers beneath its broad, juicy expression of slightly candied and tropical fruit. ItÕs slightly hard and lacks great length, and while it will drink well over the shorter term, itÕs just a little under and overripened.
Fine and fluffy, this pleasing, early-drinking chardonnay has a vibrant bouquet of grapefruit, melon, toasty vanilla oak and a hint of honeysuckle backed by spicy nuances of cloves and ginger. Gentle and brightly flavoured, with some forward flavours of melon, grapefruit and honeysuckle backed by sweet oak, it finishes with adequate but unspectacular length.
A smooth, creamy and elegant chardonnay that is perhaps rather more candied than usual. Toasty aromas of ripe melon and peach, quince and fig are backed by nuances of cumquat and custard. Sweetly fruited but relatively simple, it is partnered by some fresh vanilla and clove-like oak, before finishing with a slightly candied, lemony aspect.
Stylish, elegant and focused, with a complex, nutty, mealy and lightly smoky bouquet whose pineapple, peach, melon and grapefruit aromas are backed by fresh creamy vanilla oak and spicy notes of ginger, clove and cinnamon. ItÕs luscious, long and mouthfilling, with nuances of custard beneath its peach/melon fruit, but itÕs tight-knit and finely crafted, extending towards a streamlined, racy finish of lemony acids.
