Soft, elegant and very generous, this ripe, plush shiraz makes up in sheer drinkability what it might lack in structure and complexity. There’s a jammy note to its ripe, spicy and musky red cherry-plum aromas, plus a decent whiff of smoky vanilla oak. Long and smooth, with intense black and red berry flavours set against a background of pepper and spice, it’s ready to drink right now.
Meaty, spicy, earthy and reductive, with aromas of dark plums, blackberries and sweet vanilla oak over smoky charcuterie-like complexity. Vibrant and juicy, the moderately deep palate delivers a vibrant and smooth expression of small berries, blood plums and leathery influences supported by cedar/vanilla oak and tightly knit, drying tannins. Finishes with spice and savoury influences.
Autumnal and slightly meaty aromas of decaying leaves, blackberries, plums and currants with spicy and herbal undertones. Lacking mid-palate stuffing, its under and over-ripe expression of currant, prunes, raisins and plums is bound by a metallic cut of green-edged tannin.
Sweetly fruited and smooth, this savoury and slightly vegetal shiraz marries bright flavours of dark plum, blackberries and redcurrants with suggestions of smoked meats, baked earth and some overdone, polished vanilla oak.
A delicious, flavoursome and vibrant young shiraz whose deep, briary bouquet of blackberries, dark plums and fresh cedar/vanilla oak are backed by sneezy scents of black pepper, suede leather and earthy, floral notes. Satiny smooth, its long and vibrant palate of pastille-like cassis, blackberry, dark plum and cherry flavours extends over fine, polished tannins towards a lingering, savoury finish laced with nuances of fennel and clove.
