Intense aromas of cassis and red berries with sweet cedary nuances of vanilla and chocolate-like oak overlie suggestions of earthy depth and complexity. Its fine and elegant palate of medium to full weight delivers intense flavours of cassis, dark olives and plums with undertones of dried herbs and sweet oak. Firm and fine-grained, it’s an honest wine with just a sappy hint of herbaceousness at the finish.
A very good, elegant and fully ripened cabernet whose lively aromas of small black and red berries, red plums and dark cherries are backed by dusty notes of chocolates and dried herbs. Supple, fine and stylish, it’s quite full in weight, deeply flavoured with a lingering core of blackberry and mulberry flavour and framed by firm, assertive tannins. Fine balance and potential.
Pleasingly elegant, balanced, restrained and charming, this tightly focused and varietal cabernet has a dusty, violet-like fragrance whose fresh blackberry and cassis-like fruit are neatly backed by sweet cedar/vanilla oak. Smooth and polished, it’s long and supple, with dark berry/cherry/plum-like flavours framed by firm, loose-knit tannins and backed by suggestions of dried herbs and evenly measured, cedary oak.
A typically dusty and herbal wine from this cloudy Margaret River vintage. Underpinned by a thread of greenish, herbaceous influences, it does present a modest presence of small black and red berry flavours which is enhanced by some very attractive cedar/vanilla oak. It does think out a little towards the finish.
Long, lean and mineral, with a pristine perfume of violets, cassis and fresh cedar/vanilla oak backed by nuances of liqueur plums, black cherries and dark chocolates. Smooth and supple, with a juicy expression of marginally baked fruit tightly knit with pencil shavings oak and a firm backbone, it finishes with refreshing acidity and a hint of graphite.
Restrained, uncomplicated, stylish and evenly ripened, this dusty, fractionally herbal young cabernet reveals a sweet, lightly floral perfume of red berries, plums and dark cherries and a smooth, cedary and sweetly fruited palate whose flavours of small red and black berries, plums and chocolate/cedary oak are supported by a firmish, chalky undercarriage of fine tannins. It finishes, with length, freshness and balance.
Finely balanced, this long-term cabernet has a sweet, cedary perfume of deeply aromatic dark berries and cherries, blue flowers and spicy cedar/chocolate/vanilla oak. ItÕs long, measured and elegant, seamlessly integrating its pristine fruit with faintly smoky, cedary oak and firmish al dente tannins before finishing long, supple and tightly focused, with a lingering savoury note of dark olive.
Deeply layered, this very measured and restrained cabernet reveals a delightfully fragrant bouquet of violets, cassis, dark cherries and plums tightly knit with fresh cedar/vanilla oak and backed by faintly herbal, menthol-like notes. ItÕs supple and fine-grained, long and complete, with harmoniously integrated fruit, fresh fine-grained oak and pliant, elegant tannins finishing with fine balanced and refreshing acidity
Elegant and stylish, with a deeply scented and floral perfume of sweet red and black berries, fresh cedar/vanilla oak backed by dusty, herbal nuances. ItÕs medium to full-bodied, long and elegant, with a pleasing core of bright red berries, plums and cherries seamlessly integrated cedary oak and fine, firmish crunchy tannins. Punctuated by a mouthwatering acidity, it finishes with lingering flavours of dark berries.
Supple, ripe and juicy, this gentle, medium to full-bodied cabernet has a dusty, faintly herbal and floral fragrance of violets, cassis, redcurrants and dark cherries knit with fresh cedar/vanilla oak. ItÕs juicy and jammy Ð rather too confectionary for a higher rating Ð but delivers its approachable, mouthfilling flavour over a fine-grained undercarriage of loose-knit tannins. It perhaps lacks a little structure and shape, but still finishes with a fresh, gentle acidity.
