Long, chalky and savoury, this delicate and minerally roussanne has a floral and nutty aroma of perfumed fruit backed by cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Its taut and refreshing palate of lingering citrus, wheatmeal and nutty flavours finishes with persistence and austerity. Good shape and definition.
Rather evolved and funky, this long, chalky and faintly mineral dry white has a smoky, reductive bouquet whose scents of honeysuckle and lavender overlie suggestions of cloves, lanolin and cinnamon. Finishing with well-integrated meaty, savoury qualities, its juicy palate of citrus and melon flavour has appealing fineness and balance.
Delicate, lemony and floral, with suggestions of cloves, cinnamon, lanolin and waxy notes over a light meatiness. Long, smooth and seamless, its polished, fleshy and carefully balanced palate of nutty fruit, savoury oak and meaty, leesy and almost cheesy complexity finishes with refreshing but gentle acids. A pleasing combination of complexity, evolution and freshness.
A first class wine whose delicate, musky bouquet of honeysuckle, clove and cinnamon is lifted by a pristine fragrance of orange blossom and apricot. Long and laid-back, its brightly lit but gentle palate of pure, musky fruit is backed by an emerging hint of waxy complexity and finished with refreshing, but soft acids. Excellent purity and focus.
A rich, complex and assertive, Giaconda-like roussanne that unfolds a voluminous, faintly meaty, funky and deeply floral perfume of rose oil, honeysuckle and lavender. Its ripe, punchy presence of melon, guava and honeysuckle-like fruit is given plenty of meaty, funky and savoury complexity, extending towards a fractionally warm and spicy finish with lingering notes of white Turkish delight.
Heady and musky, deeply perfumed and smoky, with stonefruit, melon and minerals wrapped in a taut, steely acidity. Real personality and penetration of flavour.
Floral and spicy, with a confectionary presence of peach and pear. Simple and clean; lacking punch, length and focus.
Musky, spicy potpourri aromas with stonefruit and nougat; round and creamy, long and waxy, fine and dusty with a fresh, savoury finish.
