A textural, elegant and perfume shiraz of medium weight that has far more in common with shiraz from the Rhone than what most people expect from Australia. Scented with a fiery, musky bouquet of eastern spices, redcurrants, raspberries and blood plums, it’s lifted a sweet floral perfume. With a finely textured, powdery spine, it delivers a gentle core of reserved fruit that will flesh out with bottle-age. Scorpo Pinot Gris 2003
    Jeremy’s score 89/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Slightly raw, hot and spirity pinot gris with some varietal qualities. Its spicy floral perfume of melon and tangerine peel reveals a nutty background, while its chewy, spirity and savoury palate is quite phenolic and heavily worked.

    Scorpo Pinot Gris 2005
    Jeremy’s score 92/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

A rich, unctuous and oily pinot gris whose dusty, musky perfume of pear and floral, violet-like aromas reveals creamy, funky undertones. Rich and spirity, it’s long, concentrated and assertive, with some fine chalky phenolic lending support. Its vibrant, juicy fruit culminates in a savoury finish of refreshing acidity. Quite big, but should flesh out.

    Scorpo Pinot Gris 2017
    Jeremy’s score 92/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Artfully made and stylish, with a luscious, juicy expression of apple, pear and peach lifted by scents of rose oil, musky spices and white flowers. Wrapped in mouthwatering acidity, it overlies a fine slatey texture and finishes with length and freshness.

  • Scorpo Pinot Gris 2023
    Jeremy’s score 92/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

A stylish, elegant, gris whose spicy fragrance of fresh pear, apple skin and lychee is lifted by a musky floral note. Round and creamy, but retaining all the shape and focus it needs, it’s unctuous and richly flavoured, moving gently and effortlessly towards a faintly sweet but refreshing finish balanced by mouthwatering lemony acids.
