From Vinho Verde in Portugal comes this delicious blend of loureiro and alvarinho whose vivacious aromas of peach and melon are backed by dusty, faintly herbal scents of white flowers, rosemary. It’s brightly lit, long and shapely, with mouthfilling flavour extending down a pithy, chalky palate towards a frisky finish of lemony acidity.

  • Bindi Block 5 Pinot Noir 2003
    Jeremy’s score 97/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Perfumed and floral, with musky summer pudding-like aromas of dark cherries and licorice, this deeply flavoured and elegantly structured pinot delivers layers of vibrant and slightly sour-edged fruit framed by a firm structured of bony tannins. Finishes long, savoury and persistent. Very classy indeed.

  • Bindi Block 5 Pinot Noir 2004
    Jeremy’s score 96/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Brooding and tight-fisted, this sumptuously flavoured and elegantly composed pinot is simply waiting to explode with fruit and complexity. It reveals an accentuated sweet and heady rose petal perfume of red cherries and raspberries before a long, finely crafted and ethereal palate. Framed by silky tannins, it builds in volume before a lingering, savoury finish of pure pinot fruit and charcuterie-like undertones.

  • Bindi Block 5 Pinot Noir 2006
    Jeremy’s score 92/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Sealed by Diam, this delicate, floral and perfumed pinot requires a significant amount of aeration to reveal the full extent of its rose garden, red cherry, musky and meaty aromas, and for its rather fragile and introverted palate to deliver its full measure of piercing, slightly gamey, cherry/berry fruit. Elegant, sweetly oaked and supported by restrained dusty tannins, it finishes with lingering sour-edged fruit and a currant-like presence.

  • Bindi Block 5 Pinot Noir 2011
    Jeremy’s score 91/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Very youthful, elemental and slow to develop, this long and intensely flavoured pinot has a delicate musky, floral and spicy bouquet whose scents of dark flowers, red cherries and dark berries overlie nuances of cloves and cinnamon. Medium-bodied, its smooth and silky, with a gentle, seamless presence of vibrant cherry and raspberry flavour knit with fine-grained oak and underpinned by chalky tannins. It finishes with a hint of fragility, but with length and savoury qualities. It will slowly evolve and flesh out.
