    Jeremy’s score 95/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Complex, evolving bouquet of honeysuckle and dried flowers, lanolin and beeswax, with suggestions of matchstick and sweet buttery oak. Mature, soft and smooth, just showing signs of drying out, but revealing a creamy but supple palate of lively citrus and stonefruit flavours finishing nutty and savoury. There’s some pleasing toasty and meaty complexity about this wine, whose freshness and vitality belies its age.

    Rated 0 out of 5

Pungent regional chardonnay characters of tobacco leaf and fig/green melon aromas, now quite toasty and developed. Brassy, bright and lively palate whose chewy mouthfeel of ripe fruit is drying out to reveal some pleasingly reductive, meaty and savoury complexity suggestive of matchsticks and grilled hazelnuts. Underpinned by chewy phenolics, finishing long and mealy.

A smooth, stylish and spotlessly clean chardonnay right on the style of the new Lake’s Folly. Its delicate fragrance of peach, honeydew melon and lightly buttery oak has a distinctive floral aspect, while its seamlessly integrated palate marries a lightly tobaccoey expression of pristine fruit with creamy oak and lightly mineral acids. It’s tightly focused, exceptionally long and well defined.
