    Woodlands Chloe Chardonnay 2012
    Jeremy’s score 92/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Cloaking a powerful core of rather subdued fruit that will certainly explode with time in the bottle, it reveals a faintly meaty, smoky bouquet of faintly tropical, ruby grapefruit and pineapple-like notes backed by nutty, creamy oak plus nuances of ginger and nutmeg. Long and creamy, with deep flavours of grapefruit, peach and melon tightly contained by vanilla oak and bright lemony acids, it finishes with lingering nuances of smoked meats.

    Woodlands Chloe Chardonnay 2013
    Jeremy’s score 91/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Still slightly awkward and gangly, with assertive oak and malolactic influences that should settle over time, this heavily worked chardonnay has a buttery, faintly spicy bouquet of peach, melon and fresh, tight-grained vanilla oak. Its long, restrained palate of melon, stonefruit and grapefruit flavour extends round and creamy, building richness and weight towards its savoury finish.

  • Woodlands Clementine Cabernet Blend 2017
    Jeremy’s score 92/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Long and stylish, with a floral, cedary bouquet of black and blue berries, dark cherries, plums and dried herbs. Medium to fullish in weight, its plump, juicy core of sour-edged black, red and blue small fruits knits tightly with cedary oak, extending with genuine power and drive towards a savoury, faintly saline finish of nervy acids. Charming and balanced.

  • Woodlands Emily Cabernet Blend 2016
    Jeremy’s score 90/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Smooth and juicy, with a luscious presence of small red fruits, mulberries and blueberries, dark cherries and gentle cedary oak underpinned by a fine, dusty spine. It finishes with length and softness.

  • Woodlands Margaret Cabernet Blend 2003
    Jeremy’s score 90/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Cedary, earthy aromas of dark berries, cherries and chocolates with assertive cedary oak and undertones suggestive of herbs and goat’s cheese. Smooth and supple, it delivers some delightfully vibrant cherry/berry flavour framed by tight, firm tannins, but has a rather drying and slightly dirty finish. Just needs a little more finesse.

  • Woodlands Margaret Cabernet Blend 2004
    Jeremy’s score 97/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Sweet aromas of violets, blackberries, redcurrants and dark cherries are handsomely backed by cedar/vanilla oak, with delicate underlying nuances of tobacco, damp forest floor and dark chocolates. Supple, fine and willowy, the palate presents a succulent, generous expression of sweet blackcurrant, dark plum and blackberry fruit tightly knit with new vanilla/cedar oak and dusty tannins. Beautifully integrated, and finishing with a lingering note of mineral.
