Likely to build over the next decade, this fine, supple blend has a lightly spicy and musky fragrance of red cherries, redcurrants and dusty, cedary vanilla oak lifted by a hint of cassis and a fresh note of dried herbs. Full to medium-bodied, with a fine, drying undercarriage supporting its restrained, mouthfilling presence of dark and red cherries, berries, red plums and restrained oak, it finishes fresh and savoury, with lingering suggestions of spice and dried herbs.
Medium to full-bodied, with a slightly meaty, herbal and faintly mineral bouquet of blackberries, briary notes of cranberry and cassis and a hint of dark plum backed by nutty, cedary oak. ItÕs forward and slightly gamey, with meaty, raisiny flavours of plums and berries extending with moderate richness towards a slightly thin and menthol-like finish of dried herbs and tomato stalk. Marginally hollow, it will flesh out but does reflect a challenging season.
Lustrous and elegant, with a heady, sweetly floral, dusty and peppery bouquet of blackberries, briar, raspberries and cassis backed by fine-grained oak, meaty nuances and spicy licorice-like notes. ItÕs medium to full-bodied, stylish and elegant, with a supple, dusty extract beneath its briary presence of berry/plum fruit, extending long and balanced towards a harmonious, gentle and almost savoury finish of sour-edged fruit and refreshing acidity.
Almost too appealing in its youth, this remarkably drinkable young blend has a complex, alluring bouquet of sweet red and blue flowers and fruit underpinned by spicy, earthy and meaty nuances, musky suggestions of spice, clove and cinnamon with a hint of cedary oak. ItÕs medium to full-bodied but beneath its long, vibrant core of reserved blueberry, dark plum and blackberry flavour lies a drying, astringent spine of tightly knit tannins. It finishes long and earthy, savoury and finely balanced, with the promise of many years of enticing development.
Pastille-like black, blue and red fruits lifted by sweet floral scents and a whiff of cracked pepper; smooth and luscious, fine and firmish, with a lingering core of vivacious fruit and an aniseed finish.
