Firm and flavoursome shiraz whose lightly stewy and confectionary aromas of raspberries, cherries, plums and dusty, herbal, white pepper-like undertones are supported by very light oak influences. Full to medium in weight, it’s forward and spicy, slightly hollow but moderately long, finishing with lingering earthy blackberry/plum fruit and firm tannins.
An elegant, flavoursome and pleasingly complex wine of charm and potential. Its slightly meaty fragrance of cassis and raspberry fruit, cinnamon and white and black pepper precedes a very refined and cultivated palate whose vibrant small berry flavours are backed by licorice and cloves. Framed by fine-grained and dusty tannins, its fine balance should ensure its longevity.
A very ripe, sumptuous and powerfully constructed shiraz suited to long-term cellaring. Its porty aromas of cooked plums and blackberries reveal underlying nuances of cassis and sweet red berries, plus nuances of sage and cloves, tar and treacle. Unusually concentrated for a Tahbilk red, its thick, firm and astringent palate of meaty blackberry and plum flavours has a slightly stewy but not overcooked aspect. Framed by slightly gritty tannins, it finishes long, drying and savoury.
Robust, meaty and slightly unpolished, with slightly minty and medicinal aromas of violets and raspberries, cassis, plums and cherries plus lightly smoked undertones of vanilla oak. Its firm, drying palate of intense berry/plum fruit is firmly supported by drying, coarse linen tannin, finishing with slightly raw-edged, minty/menthol notes and a lingering meatiness.
A charming, spicy and fragrant shiraz scented with fresh red and black berries, cedar/chocolate oak, dusty spices and white pepper. Backed by creamy, earthy and spicy undertones, its measured, polished and moderately rich palate of ripe, sumptuous fruit has a lively undercurrent of fine, drying tannins, finishing with length, balance and persistence.
Sweetly fruited and firmly structured, with a fresh, spicy and peppery bouquet whose fresh black and red berry aromas are backed by a hint of cedary oak and nuances of cloves and licorice. Supported by a supple, dusty spine that builds strength towards its lingering, savoury finish, its vibrant shiraz fruit extends with length, elegance and freshness.
