A complete, measured, long-term cabernet whose deep, slightly closed aromas of small black and red berries are somewhat subdued by handsome and deeply perfumed cedary/vanilla/chocolate oak and lifted by scents of red and blue flowers. Accentuated by the blackness of petit verdot, itÕs sumptuous and seamless, with a pristine expression of deep, dark small fruits backed by nuances of dried herbs. Finely balanced with assertive oak and a polished extract of firm, pliant tannin, it finishes with length and power.
Firm, deeply ripened and handsomely oaked. Its youthful bouquet of fragrant violet, cassis, red cherry and raspberry aromas knits tightly with assertive cedar/vanilla oak, revealing faintly vegetal malbec undertones and a spicy, juicy petit verdot-derived high note. Smooth and polished, with deep, powerful fruit, cedary oak and a firm, fine-grained backbone, itÕs tightly wound around an assertive, if slightly exaggerated acidity.
An elegant, very restrained cabernet whose earthy, slightly meaty bouquet opens to reveal profound floral notes overlying deep aromas of red berries, plums and cedar/vanilla oak, with nuances of dried herbs and mocha. ItÕs long and elegant, with deep, translucent flavours of intense small red and black fruits neatly integrated with assertive, fine-grained oak and firm, faintly sinewy, chalky tannins. Rather leaner and more reserved than the more sumptuous wines under this label of the past.
Very fine, elegant and gently balanced, this very stable, long-term cabernet is complex and finely tuned. Its bright, malbec-driven aromas of cassis, redcurrants, violets and cedar/vanilla oak are backed with scents of blackberries and a faintly vegetal, banana-like note. Underpinned by fine, mouthwatering tannins, itÕs long and shapely, with succulent flavours of red, black and blue berries knit tightly with fresh oak and bright acids, finishing with length and poise.
A rich, generous and up-front chardonnay which finishes a little thin and hot behind some slightly spiky acids. Attractive and slightly mealy citrus fruit and nutty, buttery oak should develop along the rather oily and creamy palate.
It’s very ripe, rather lean and could use more palate length, but this is a fragrant, if rather oaky young chardonnay with some fineness and attitude. There’s a hint of cashew behind its forward grapefruit, melon and tropical fruit flavours, while its front palate is juicy and sappy, before a short, but savoury and drying finish.
Fine, stylish chardonnay of balance and length, complexity and integration. A delicate honeysuckle aroma of lime juice, tropical melon and grapefruit flavours has a restrained background of lightly toasty oak. Fleshy and supple, the palate offers pleasing weight and baby fat texture, before a revitalising finish of lemon and mineral acids.
Very stylish, structured and concentrated Margaret River chardonnay whose delicate perfume of peach, tinned pineapple and pear, apple and ruby grapefruit is interwoven with creamy lees and oak-derived influences. Vibrant, smooth and very elegant, its juicy core of bright fruit flavours is harmoniously knit with nutty, savoury oak and soft, but refreshing acids.
A modern and stylish chardonnay whose complex, spicy aromas of melon and grapefruit are backed by smoky vanilla oak, hints of lime and creamy, leesy undertones. Long and sumptuous, it’s smooth, creamy palate of grapefruit, melon and peach is underpinned by a chalky minerality and punctuated by a tangy, citrusy finish. Very complex and stylish.
