A fine, balanced and elegant regional shiraz of delightful freshness and intensity. Its cracked pepper fragrance of raspberries, cassis, blackberries and plums knits tightly with cedar/vanilla oak and nuances of cloves and cinnamon, mint and menthol. Long and smooth, its brightly lit palate of black and red berries is framed by fine, silky tannins.
Ripe, forward and juicy, with a sweet, spicy and marginally baked aroma of redcurrants, raspberries and dark plums backed by fresh vanilla and cedary oak. Its confiture-like expression of red berries and plums has a firm, pliant backbone but a slight hollowness, while it finishes slightly attenuated, spicy and spirity with notes of mint and menthol.
A firm, if slightly baked shorter term shiraz whose intense, graphite-like bouquet of blackberries, dark plums and cedar/chocolate oak reveals a meatiness and a spicy presence of cloves and nutmeg. Its deep, dark-fruited palate of blackberries, dark plums and toasty vanilla oak finishes with slightly stressed notes of currants and raisins, with a lingering regional mintiness.
A pristine, peppery fragrance of violets, raspberries, blackberries and cassis backed by notes of briar and lightly toasty vanilla oak precedes a smooth, polished and evenly paced palate whose bright, rather plush presence of small dark berries integrates tightly with sweet oak and fine, silky but firmish tannins. Finely balanced and elegant, it finishes with pleasing length, refreshing acidity and a faint mineral note.
