High quality full orchestra chardonnay made for drinking young. There’s some earthy sulphide-related complexity and malolactic-derived bacon/butterscotch character behind pungently ripe citrus aromas, while the developing palate delivers piercingly intense citrus and melon fruit and smoky oak influence through a creamy, thick texture.
Full, complex, heavily worked but fine chardonnay of almost outsized dimensions, yet one built to stay. Typical regional chardonnay flavours of grapefruit, pineapples and other tropical fruits are enhanced by creamy lees influences, smoky and bubblegum barrel ferment characters with caramel malolactic qualities. There’s weight and warmness, piercing fruit flavour and zesty citrusy acids. Great value.
Particularly stylish, tightly balanced and focused Margaret River chardonnay whose tangy citrus and pineapple aromas are backed by lightly charry oak and minerally lees-derived aspects. Long, bright and crystalline palate of excellent length and sculpted shape. There’s some fluffy texture and lemon meringue-like flavour in the middle of the palate, which culminates in a tight, citrusy finish.
An elegant, stylish and tightly focused chardonnay whose delicate, nutty aromas of honeydew melon, vanilla oak and butterscotch overlie nuances of bacon and hessian. Silky-smooth, its succulent and mouthfilling palate of apple, pear, lime juice and creamy peach-like fruit is supported by tight-knit vanilla oak and undertones of cinnamon and clove. It finishes, long, savoury and very refreshing.
Stylish, elegant and focused, this rather tight, silky and finely controlled chardonnay has as delicate floral perfume of grapefruit, melon and citrusy fruit, lightly toasty oak, grilled nuts and creamy, leesy undertones backed by cloves and cinnamon. Long and savoury, its pristine, crystalline fruit is tightly underpinned by a fine chalkiness, finishing long and restrained, with a pure core of flavour, complex bakery notes and a mineral aspect wrapped up a taut and finely balanced acidity.
Elegant, perfectly balanced and deeply flavoured, with a complex, smoky bouquet whose fresh aromas of grapefruit, stonefruit and melon are lifted by ginger, clove and cinnamon-like spice, and backed by creamy suggestions of nougat and toasty, perfectly seasoned oak. ItÕs sumptuous and smooth, with a lingering core of pear, apple, stonefruit and grapefruit, finishing long, soft and savoury, with nutty, creamy notes and gentle acids.
Very precise and finely crafted, if perhaps a little oak-dominated in its youth. ItÕs fragrant but restrained, with an aroma spectrum of grapefruit, melon and tropical fruits knit with cinnamon/clove oak, wheatmeal and creamy, leesy nuances. Long, even and elegant, with a deep, reserved core of citrus/melon fruit with some waxy complexity, itÕs focused and chalky, finishing with dusty, spicy notes of ginger and lemony acids.
