Fresh and focused, this long, faintly spicy and meaty red blend has a dusty, spicy bouquet of sweet red berries, red flowers and plums backed by a hint of vegetal malbec and restrained vanilla/cedary oak. A little more emphatic than its medium to full-bodied palate weight, it delivers a smooth, deeply flavoured and finely structured palate of luscious red berry/plum fruit and reserved oak that extends with elegance and focus down a long, drying and tightly structured palate underpinned by fine, crunchy tannins. It finishes with freshness and brightness.
Long-term, fullish to medium in weight, with a vibrant expression of red, blue and black berries, dark plums and cedary oak backed by nuances of cola, dusty oak and baked earth. Supported by a fine, firmish spine of crunchy, gravelly tannins, it reveals more malbec vegetal character with aeration, finishing with freshness, style and elegance.
A smooth, polished and very concentrated red with a spicy, violet-like perfume of sweet plums, cassis and mint over smoky nuances of mocha. Very ripe, fractionally cooked and currant-like it’s round and concentrated, lifted by smooth and polished tannins, but just ends a fractional flat at the finish.
Very stylish and elegant, with juicy brightness and texture. Its ripe, almost jujube-like aromas of cassis, sweet plums and violets are backed by restrained oak and a whiff of mint. Sumptuous and smooth, its supple, willowy and tightly controlled palate bursts with intense cassis, plum and chocolate flavour. Long and seamless, it’s framed by velvet-smooth but firm tannins and enhanced by dusty vanilla oak. Terrific complexity and balance.
Dusty and slightly meaty, its fragrance of spicy redcurrants, plums and blackberries, with restrained cedar/vanilla undertones has a perfumed, floral quality. Full-bodied, firm and linear, its chewy palate of meaty, dark-fruited and earthy influences overlies a powerful, rod-like and mouth-coating spine of bony tannin. It finishes long and savoury, with lightly herbal undertones.
Profoundly true to its terroir, this rustic, meaty, black-fruited blend marries intense, minty fruit with sweet oak and powerful, but pliant tannins. There’s a hint of menthol beneath its juicy aromas of blackberries, redcurrants and dark plums, while its open, loose-knit palate is both vibrant and concentrated. It’s long, finely balanced and integrated, with charming earthy undertones.
