  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Chardonnay 2013
    Jeremy’s score 96/100

This profoundly intense and pristine chardonnay has a sweetly oaked, faintly smoky and floral perfume of white peach, nougat, pineapple and a youthful hint of banana. Taut and mineral, with an intense, creamy core of stonefruit and citrus flavour bound up by a bright acidity, it finishes long, lean and tightly drilled with a lingering presence of fruit and creamy oak. It builds richness and weight towards the finish, but culminates with true length and elegance.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Chardonnay 2016
    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Rather closed aromas of peach and vanilla/bubblegum oak with smoky, creamy undertones precede a round, unctuous and vibrant palate whose mouthfilling flavours of peach, cashew and tight-knit oak extend with crunchiness and brightness towards a refreshing finish. Needs time.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Chardonnay 2017
    Jeremy’s score 94/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Subtle scents of melon, peach and fresh vanilla oak; long and sumptuous, smooth and creamy; great drive over a fine, powdery undercarriage.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Chardonnay 2018

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Chardonnay 2023
    Jeremy’s score 88/100

    $70.00

A huge departure in style towards a lighter, simpler and more contemporary expression, it reveals a simple, delicate bouquet of peach, pear, apple and light vanilla oak. It6’s lean and taut, drying out towards an oaky, brittle finish. The key to the identity of this chardonnay used to be its beautifully presented marriage of power, complexity and restraint.

    Coldstream Hills Reserve Merlot 2000
    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5
  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 1991
    Jeremy’s score 90/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Medium to full red with brown edges. Developed and now drying out; with meaty, musky animal-like scents of prunes, plums, currants and dates. Very assertive, earthy palate whose spicy, undergrowth-like expression of mature pinot flavour overlies nuances of sweet leather and a hint of varnish.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 1992
    Jeremy’s score 95/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Medium to full red with some browning. Beautifully developed, but still a vital and vibrant pinot with some distance to travel. Complex dusty, meaty and leathery aromas reveal a hint of musk and funkiness with a whiff of dark chocolate oak. Its core of rich, gamey pinot fruit and underlying nuances of herbal and undergrowth-like complexity are neatly framed by fine, firmish but supple and drying tannins.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 1994
    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Medium to full red crimson, browning. Supple, sappy, but slightly green-edged pinot whose dusty perfume of game meats and bell pepper precede a lightly herbal but willowy and supple palate of weight and generosity. Pleasing length, brightness and texture, but a little herbal for a higher score.

  • Coldstream Hills Reserve Pinot Noir 1996
    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Full to medium fiery red. Dusty, floral and under-developed, with cherry and plum aromas underpinned by sweet cedary oak and capsicum-like notes of tobacco and bell pepper, this supple and very primary pinot is unlikely ever to fully mature. Pleasing enough, but rather confectionary and herbaceous, framed by sappy green-edged tannins, it’s peaking now.
