Dry, austere riesling with a toasty, slightly cooked aromas of apple and pear before a round and generous palate whose lemon-lime flavours culminate in a minerally finish.
Unusually smoky, floral and citrusy aromas of moderate intensity are underpinned by suggestions of wet slate. Generous and flavoursome, its taut and sculpted palate of lingering citrusy fruit finishes with racy acids and a savoury minerality, but also a hint of sweetness. Slightly awkward and lacking great freshness.
A brightly flavoured, taut and elegant Clare riesling whose flowery scents of lemon and lime precede a supple and tightly focused palate of length and restraint. Its lingering core of tangy citrus flavour builds steadily on the palate before a refreshing finish of clean and lightly mineral acids.
Slightly hollow and lacking in brightness, this lemony young riesling is austere and dry, but could use more intensity and impact.
Candied, floral aromas of lemon meringue precede a juicy, generous and confectionery palate whose broad fruit, soft phenolics and soft acids tend to lack the typical focus and structure of Clare riesling. ItÕs moderately long, and while itÕs easy drinking in its youth, itÕs more likely to be best over the shorter term.
Developing, toasty aromas of lemon rind and candy, with waxy floral undertones and a hint of honey precede a juicy, round and luscious palate of pleasing length, depth and brightness. Finishing with fresh lemony acids, itÕs just a little ripe and confectionary.
Typical young Clare riesling, with genuine brightness, freshness, length and balance. Its pristine and lightly mineral fragrance of lemon rind and lime juice are lifted by a fresh floral quality and underpinned by typical slatey undertones. ItÕs bright and penetrative, with a dry, racy finish. Given its comparatively light and lively touch along the palate is surprisingly deeply flavoured
Piercingly intense and shapely, this charmingly pristine and focused riesling has a scent of white flowers, lime juice, lemon rind and pear with undertones of bathpowder and a hint of spice. ItÕs vibrant, long and tangy, with penetrative citrus fruit driving all down the palate before a finish of crunchy acids and a very marginal sweetness.
A fine, stylish, cellaring riesling whose delicate, faintly tropical perfume of lemon rind, lime juice and white flowers is backed by a faint chalkiness. ItÕs long and elegant, with a supple and intensely flavoured palate of bright citrusy flavour extending towards an austere, steely finish punctuated by a mineral hint of brine.
