A briny, round and savoury white from this southern Italian grape whose faintly herbal aromas of melon and citrus precede a juicy, fleshy palate with a pleasing core of creamy flavour that extends towards a soft, faintly saline and refreshing finish.
Dusty, musky scents of red berries and dark cherries are lifted by sweet floral notes and backed by a whiff of graphite. Its smooth, luscious palate of vivacious, juicy fruit is medium in weight and genuinely elegant. It drives with length and flavour down a gentle spine of soft tannins before a lingering and refreshing finish.
A deep, vivacious perfume of dark cherries, dark plums, blueberries and rose petals reveals notes of licorice and tar. Long, smooth and evenly paced, it’s generous and fine-grained, with a charming core of cherry, cranberry and blood plum-like fruit steadily becoming richer and more intense down the palate. Deliciously fruited, it’s underpinned by tight, sandpapery tannins. Delicious right now but likely to evolve very well.
Simply a delicious McLaren Vale grenache with gentle but intense expression of varietal purity reflects the cooler 2023 season. Heady aromas of rose petals, redcurrants and blood plums reveal a whiff of spice and citrus oil. Translucently clear, its pristine, mouthfilling palate of vivacious red, black and blue fruits extends down a very fine, sandpapery spine and over some dusty oak towards a refreshing and finely integrated acidity. Excellent balance. Open now or wait for 2-3 more years.
Bright aromas of cassis, redcurrants, cranberries and dark plums are lifted by scents of five spice and backed by smoky cedar/vanilla oak. It’s fullish to medium in weight, long and gravelly, with a sumptuous core of sour-edged dark berry/plum fruit that steadily builds with aeration, ultimately finishing savoury, with schisty, mineral notes.
Juicy aromas of dark plums, blackberries and redcurrants tightly knit with fresh cedr/chocolate oak are lifted by a whiff of white pepper and a hint of fiery, exotic spice. It’s long, smooth and evenly paced, with a vivacious core of black and red berries supported by a fine, loose-knit extract and faintly smoky, cedry oak. Finishing with a vital acidity, it leaves a lingering presence of dark fruits and licorice. Polished and ready to enjoy.
Spicy, peppery aromas of small black, blue and red berries are lifted by scents of dark flowers and backed by gentle cedar/mocha oak and a faint earthiness. Medium to fullish in weight, it’s long, smooth and evenly ripened, presenting a vibrant core of fruit framed by fine, loose-knit mineral tannins and backed by smoky, chocolatey oak. A totally charming and elegant wine of savoury charm and balance.
