  • Mount Mary Pinot Noir 2003
    Jeremy’s score 95/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

A sweet, spicy perfume of liqueur cherry chocolates, rose petals and briar reveals complex undertones of caramel, exotic spices and a faint meatiness. It’s sumptuous and velvet-like, offering a deep, unctuous palate steeped in dark, juicy flavours of cherries and plums, framed by smooth, fine tannins. It’s a baby of a wine, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if it demanded a score upgrade once it has been longer in the bottle.

  • Mount Mary Pinot Noir 2004
    Jeremy’s score 96/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

An exemplary Mount Mary pinot and a classic example of this variety. Slightly stewed, floral and briary aromas of quince, cherries and raspberries are lifted by scents of rose petals, five spice and nutmeg. Silky, smooth and seamless, its unctuous, sappy palate of juicy sweet cherries and plums is tightly wrapped in the finest of tannins, finishing with savoury spices. Its balance, intensity and texture are simply delightful, and will only develop with time in the bottle.

  • Mount Mary Pinot Noir 2005
    Jeremy’s score 91/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Elegant, smooth and supple with a spicy, floral perfume of raspberries, redcurrants, cloves and cinnamon, over suggestions of sweet vanilla/cedary oak and a hint of raisins. It opens slowly, becoming more juicy, fleshy and silky, presenting a restrained array of sweet cherry/berry fruit knit tightly with fine, bony tannins but revealing some vegetal undertones.

  • Mount Mary Pinot Noir 2006
    Jeremy’s score 96/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

A fine, supple and willowy longer-term pinot whose delicate floral perfume of raspberries, cherries, red plums and restrained cedary oak reveals a subtle presence of undergrowth and dried herbs, cloves and nutmeg. Initially sweet and forward, with some lively cherry/berry flavour, it becomes more sappy, lean and restrained as it extends towards its fine, silky finish of lingering fruit and refreshing acidity.

  • Mount Mary Pinot Noir 2011
    Jeremy’s score 93/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Likely to age slowly in a traditional, savoury and faintly herbal style, this complete and finely balanced pinot has a delicate, sweetly perfumed scent of rose petals and red cherries, raspberries and light cedary vanilla oak that steadily opens to reveal more depth of fruit. Underpinned by a fine, powdery spine, its supple presence of cherries and berries reveals earthy, meaty suggestions of forest floor, finishing with charming balance and an Old World-like crescendo of flavour.

  • Mount Mary Pinot Noir 2012
    Jeremy’s score 96/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Harmonious and elegant, with genuine structure and firmness, this longer-term, pinot has a profoundly heady, floral and pristine bouquet of fresh red cherries and berries, lavender and rose peals backed by nuances of underbrush and dried herbs. It’s long and fine-grained, with a lustrous core of pristine, spicy fruit and savoury oak that drives along a finely balanced, powdery spine towards a finished of persistence and focus.

  • Mount Mary Pinot Noir 2014
    Jeremy’s score 94/100

    Rated 0 out of 5

Floral, elegant and seamless, very restrained and medium in weight, with pristine cherry/plum fruit backed by notes of spice, nutmeg and tight-grained cedary oak. A long-term with that finishes with a cherry kernel note.

  • Mount Mary Pinot Noir 2016
    Jeremy’s score 95/100

Firm and sinewy, with a powerful, fiery core of red berries, cherries and blood plums backed by earthy, leathery aspects and lifted by a whiff of rose petals. Supported by crunchy tannins, it will take time to evolve into a more assertive, rustic style.
