Full-on semillon whose rich, luscious flavours and textures effortlessly absorb some pretty high-class oak. Lightly grassy melon and stonefruit aromas knit tightly with creamy wheatmeal oak qualities, while the generous, tangy palate presents a deep, vibrant core or lemon/melon fruit framed by sweet oak and racy mineral acids. Plenty of cut and polish, loads of attitude.
Very classy, stylish semillon whose punchy, herbal aromas of honeydew melon and restrained toasty, buttery vanilla oak reveal lightly reductive and minerally undertones. Smooth and elegant, the palate offers a juicy core of lime and melon-like fruit, finishing long and zesty with bite and cut. Finely balanced and harmonious.
A fabulously fresh and pristine young semillon whose fragrant, lightly toasty and almost perfumed scents of melon, white peach and citrus fruit reveal a light grassiness. Explosively flavoured, its long, smooth and silky palate of pristine melon and citrusy fruit is neatly tied up with a tangy finish of refreshing acidity. It finishes with a lingering core of vibrant flavour.
Lightly grassy aromas of melon, lemon rind and restrained vanilla oak precede a soft and refreshing palate. Tangy, juicy fruit flavours are backed by hints of bathpowder and finished with lemony acids. It’s moderately long, finishing slightly nutty, with clean, lemony acids. Reflects its region and variety.
A fresh, lightly herbal and honeysuckle fragrance of melon, lemon rind and grilled nuts overlies a dash of sweet vanilla and lightly toasty oak. Smooth and creamy, itÕs long, ripe and finely balanced, with rich honeydew melon-like fruit and assertive creamy barrel ferment influences and phenolics delivering a luscious, round and generous mouthfeel. It finishes fresh and clean, with lingering fruit and a lively cut of lemony acidity.
Slightly candied, with a toasty, barley sugar-like presence of melon and lemon flavour. Initially quite generous and creamy, it finishes a little flat and lacking it’s customary brightness and length of fruit.
Faintly disjoined and angular, this shorter-term semillon has a delicate bouquet of melon, peach, apple and cloves with a hint of sweet vanilla oak and a suggestion of nougat. ItÕs oaky and mouthfilling, long and linear, with slightly stressed melon, peach and apple flavours and dusty oak finishing just a little raw, with lingering notes of cloves and cinnamon and a fresh, brittle acidity.
