Lightly floral rose petal aromas of berries, cherries and boiled lollies precede a palate of medium to full weight. Its sweet vanilla oak lends creaminess and smokiness to its light, uncomplicated expression of raspberries and strawberries, but does finish a little too brassy. Framed by soft acids and tannins.
Silky and fine-grained, this smooth and supple pinot has a floral and lightly confectionary bouquet of raspberries and cherries with nuances of cinnamon and restrained vanilla oak. Sweet, juicy pinot fruit is framed by a fine-grained extract of powdery tannins. Drink while fresh and vibrant.
Slightly minty, earthy and floral aromas of red cherries and plums are backed by funky, spicy leesy undertones. Smooth and elegant, it’s fine and supple, delivering a soft-centred palate of sweet raspberry, red cherry and currant-like fruit over a silky-fine spine of dusty tannin. An east-drinking soft dry red with some pinot character.
A smooth, polished dry red with a supple, fine and elegant expression of meaty, earthy flavours of tomato, cherry, cedar and five spice, before a lingering plummy finish. It’s framed by firmish and drying tannins and backed by nuances of dried herbs. Attractive, but not incredibly pinot-like.
Meaty and slightly browning, lacking genuine freshness and fruit. Initially smooth, sumptuous and plummy, it becomes rather drying and flat towards the finish, with earthy, tomatoey and orange rind-like characters. Unconvincing.
Lacking much varietal character, this sweet, old-styled pinot presents a minty expression of plums, small berries and sweet chocolate/cedar oak backed by nuances of smoke and menthol. More of a dry red, itÕs supple, smooth and fine-grained, finishing with moderate length.
A very ripe and generous, forward and early-drinking pinot whose faint tomato-like character is likely to become more evident with time. Smoky, rather meaty aromas of red cherries, plums and polished cedar/vanilla oak overlie nuances of dried herbs. ItÕs smooth and silky, with a bright, juicy palate of sweet red cherries, plums and lingering note of tomato.
While itÕs not stamped with powerful varietal influences, this is a soft, generous red with deep, appealing flavour and some style. Its spicy, assertive oaky and pungent bouquet of red cherries, plums and meaty undertones reveals a herbal, tomato stalk-like aspect. ItÕs both sumptuous and elegant, fullish in body and weight, with a juicy roundness of fruit underpinned by velvety tannins, finishing with length and finesse.
