Oakier than usual for this maker, this fragrant and spicy shiraz offers a minty aroma of raspberries, blackcurrants and dark plums with polished oak and meaty, earthy undertones. Smooth, creamy and velvet-like, its intense berry fruits integrate with firm tannins, leaving a lingering finish of licorice and blackberries.
Sweet aromas of gamey oak and meaty, plummy fruit reveal minty undertones of dried herbs. Initially plush and smooth, with a juicy expression of blackberry and plum flavour matched by cedar/vanilla oak, it lacks genuine length and depth, finishing a little thin and sappy with greenish, menthol-like nuances.
Meaty, menthol-like aromas of dark plums, raisins and currants are slightly cooked and porty, while its forward and spicy palate lacks length and intensity. Finishing rather flat and dull, it reflects another very hot season.
Rustic and meaty, with flavours of plums, berries and currants backed by earthy, leathery complexity and vanilla oak. Beginning to tire, with simple, evolved fruit lacking much freshness and brightness, finishing dull and eucalypt-like.

ItÕs forward and luscious, with a juicy, meaty mouthfeel that does thin out towards a slightly minty and green-edged but savoury finish.
A typically rich, dark and old-fashioned Clare shiraz whose dark, meaty bouquet of currants, prunes and slightly raw, mocha-like oak reveals undertones of iodide and varnish, mint and eucalypt. Rich, smooth and sumptuous, it’s dark and raisined, with a pleasing length of fruit underpinned by firm, pliant tannins and finishing with meaty, savoury qualities. It’s meaty and chocolatey, rather unpolished and overcooked, but full of character and flavour.
Rusty, meaty and very expressive, this spicy shiraz of medium to full weight has an earthy fragrance of dark flowers and plums, cassis and mulberries backed by cedary oak and a whiff of black pepper. ItÕs ripe and generous but surprisingly elegant, smoothly matching its vibrant fruit with chocolatey oak and firmish, drying tannins and refreshing acidity.
Slightly baked, this jammy, rather treacle-like shiraz has a deep bouquet of blackberries, blueberries and dark plums backed by notes of raisins and smoky vanilla oak. ItÕs forward and slightly raw-edged, with a meaty, but smooth and moderately long palate backed by smoky vanilla oak and finished by a fresh acidity.
A deftly made hot year wine with a spicy, peppery bouquet of dark plums, berries, cloves and dusty, cedary oak lifted by regional notes of mint and menthol. ItÕs smooth and polished, with a vibrant depth of slightly jammy blackberry, recurrent and sweet plum flavours supported by a precise, fine-grained backbone. It finishes with genuine elegance, freshness and focus.
Distinctively savoury, with a dusty, spicy bouquet of cassis, dark plums and smoky, chocolatey oak backed by suggestions of polished leather, baked earth and a whiff of pepper. Medium in weight, itÕs evolving expression of leathery and meaty complexity is supported by a fine, elegant backbone of drying tannins and finishes with a note of mint and menthol.
