Long and measured, this mineral and shapely riesling reveals a heady bouquet of floral and citrus notes. Its juicy palate of bright lemon, lime and apple-like fruit has a bracing acidity and a fine dustiness, finishing with shape and definition.
Developing to reveal some smoky, toasty complexity, this pristine, fruit-focused riesling delivers a fragrant presence of apple skin, lime and lemon, extending down a very faint chalkiness towards a clean, crisp and refreshing finish.
Rather herbaceous and butyric, with a moderately intense presence of melon and stonefruit underpinned by a fine, drying spine and wrapped in an apple-like acidity. A little too herbal and lacking depth of fruit for a higher rating.
Pastille-like cassis, blueberries and blackberries with creamy, smoky oak; medium in weight.
Flowers, spice and dark fruits with cedary, earthy undertones; long and tight-grained, mineral and drying, with pristine dark fruits, crunchy texture and artful balance.
A definitive Henschke interpretation of tempranillo, with a floral, dusty and faintly herbal bouquet of cassis, blueberries, blackberries and dark plums, supported by nuances of briar and cedar/vanilla oak. Fullish to medium in weight, itÕs smooth and luscious, with a pristine core of black and blue fruit that extends down a very fine, dusty but firmish spine towards a finely balanced and refreshing finish of mouthwatering acidity.
Supple, fragrant and medium-bodied, this pristine and contemporary tempranillo slowly unfolds an earthy, faintly meaty perfume of red berries, blood plums and a whiff of chocolate lifted by fragrant notes of spice and flowers. Its vivacious core of pristine red and black fruit is spotlessly pure and juicy, moving down a fine, loose-knit spine towards a mouthwatering acidity.
A sumptuous and deeply flavoured Barossa shiraz without the presence of overcooked fruit, spirity alcohols or excessive sweetness. The first wine under this label (whose fruit used to end up in the Keyneton Estate red) is deeply spicy and distinctively floral, scented with ripe plums, blackberries, cedar/dark chocolate oak, cinnamon and cloves. A powerful core of dark fruit is framed by velvet tannins and tightly knit with fine-grained oak, finishing with lingering dark fruit and an impression of silky elegance.
Ripe and jammy, with a meaty, faintly currant-like presence of blackberries, redcurrants and dark plums knit with cedary oak and backed by suggestions of mint, tobacco and menthol. ItÕs soft and unctuous, with a juicy and approachable palate extending with moderate but not great length over a pliant but firmish spine.
Pretty, juicy and confectionary, with bright cranberry and plum-like fruit and fresh chocolate/vanilla oak. It reveals a gentle spine of loose-knit tannins and a hint of mineral.
