Subtle and stylish this reserved and elegant chardonnay has a delicate but deeply floral perfume whose waxy grapefruit melon and lemony aromas are backed by smoky oak and nuances of honeysuckle acacia and a nutty mealy aspect Its long and silky with a translucent presence of melon and lemon flavour that moves over a pithy texture with freshness and focus towards a bitter Seville orange-like finish
A lean austere taut and quite firmish chardonnay whose delicate notes of citrus white peach and restrained vanilla oak overlie nuances of ginger and cloves Wrapped in cashew and vanilla oak its delicate core of peach and lemon flavour extends rather modestly without much intensity or persistence along a chalky palate that finishes with measured acidity It just lacks its customary flavour and intensity

Handsomely weighty and fruited with its typical undercarriage of minerality and brittleness it reveals a spicy bouquet of grapefruit and lemon coriander and oregano plus some tight-knit faintly smoky vanilla oak Its unctuous and generous but delivers genuine length and drive of citrusy fruit backed by creamy nutty complexity before finishing savoury and almost saline
A dark earthy and brooding pinot noir fashioned in a Californian Central Coast style with a meaty leathery expression of dark plums prunes and currants framed by polished but distinctively astringent tannins Packed with cinnamon-like spiced and cherry kernel-like nuances it’s powerful and concentrated drying and savoury
Yet to develop great complexity this assertive meaty and robust Pommard-styled pinot opens a fresh and lightly spicy perfume of briary red cherries redcurrants and black berries dusted by lightly smokycedary oak and a whiff of undergrowth Smooth and savoury with undertones of smoked meats its palate extends with pleasing fruit sweetness and generosity
A superbly balanced pinot whose heady rose petal-like perfume and sumptuous depth of meaty dark cherryplum flavour astride a satiny spine of tight-knit tannin have a Vosne-Romane-like feel Its long and lavish already revealing layers of depth and complexity before finishing with exemplary persistence genuine firmness and grip
Introverted wild and brambly this complex and smoky young pinot has a fresh perfume of maraschino cherries sweet plums berries and redcurrants backed by fragrant oak nuances of musk and animal hide with undertones of game meats and dried herbs Its round and luscious with a rich rather meaty palate underpinned by firm chalky tannin finishing long and savoury It slowly reveals some attractive fleshiness and sappiness and should develop significant richness with time
Underpinned by a firm drying and bony structure this dark-fruited and slightly meaty pinot has a mineral perfume of dark cherries and cola with autumnal and rocky undertones Its sumptuous and ripe with deep dark plum and cherry flavours over savoury earthy notes finishing with lingering blueberry fruit and refreshing acidity
