It opens slowly to reveal a violet-like perfume, while its smooth, restrained and supple palate of vibrant fruit overlies a wonderfully tight spine and pleasing cedary undertones.
A fine, elegant Coonawarra cabernet whose ripe, floral perfume of cassis, blackberries, dark chocolates and cedar/vanilla oak has a faintly confiture-like aspect. Fully ripened but smooth and supple, its long, fleshy and spotlessly presented palate of vibrant small black berries, mulberries and plums knits tightly with vanilla/cedar oak. Full to medium in weight, framed by firm, pliant tannins, it’s a wine of style and stature.
A firm, robust cabernet whose sweet, lightly herbaceous and meaty presence of dark plum, cassis and dark olives is knit with cedar/chocolate/vanilla oak and supported by a grainy, drying grip of slightly raw-edged tannin. Dense and concentrated, with light currant-like undertones, itÕs a bruising young wine that needs plenty of time in the cellar.
Rounded and generous, this deeply fruited and evenly ripened cabernet presents a fine combination of intense, pristine and slightly minty regional fruit with a fine, chalky undercarriage and savoury oak.
