It’s citrusy and tropical, with plenty of lemony oak and length of fruit. Already deliciously flavoursome, complex and savoury, and able to soak up its smart new French oak, it’s perhaps not for the long term.
Very polished, tightly integrated and seamless, this finely crafted chardonnay marries vibrant peach, melon, pineapple and ruby grapefruit flavours with complex lees-derived and oaky characters. ItÕs waxy and floral, with cheesy, smoked bacon-like undertones and suggestions of bubblegum. Luscious and generous without resorting to sheer power, its evenly balanced and sophisticated palate delivers length and freshness, finishing long and savoury.
Stylish and finely balanced, this youthful and vibrant chardonnay appears to have been bottled earlier than many to retain its freshness and brightness. Its deep and fragrant presence of grapefruit, melon, white peach and lime knits tightly with restrained nutty and lightly smoky oak and mineral undertones. Underpinned by a lemon sherbet-like chalkiness, itÕs very concentrated and luscious but does retain genuine elegance and shape.
ThereÕs little left to the imagination with this exemplary, wild and finely crafted chardonnay. Its heady, funky bouquet of ruby grapefruit, tropical fruits, peach and melon shines through an array of wild yeast complexity Ð from minerality to smoked meats and even a hint of washed rind cheese. ItÕs long, creamy and perfectly focused, with mouthfilling, freshly sliced, crunchy fruit extending long and streamlined towards a briny finish. Remarkably deep, balanced and complex, it flaunts its charm and character.
A world class chardonnay whose piercing fragrance of grapefruit, melon and tropical fruit, fresh vanilla and clove-like oak reveals suggestions of lime juice and bath powder, cinnamon and ginger. ItÕs long and tightly sculpted, with a fine, pulpy texture beneath its pure, crystalline flavours of grapefruit, melon, white peach and pear, finishing with remarkable freshness, focus and a lingering minerality. Very complex, but perfectly balanced.
Stylish, tightly focused and deeply flavoured, unfolding a complex, smoky fragrance of grapefruit, peach and pineapple with chalky, briny undertones and a hint of smoked bacon. Full to medium weight, itÕs round and juicy but tightly sculpted as it moves down the palate, delivering lustrous citrus, melon and tropical fruit flavours artfully integrated with creamy oak and a fine, dusty spine. It finishes with meaty, creamy leesy undertones, a hint of mineral and a fresh lemony and limey acidity.
Beautifully balanced and artfully made in a leaner, finer Margaret River style, with a delicate, faintly floral bouquet of fresh grapefruit, cinnamon and ginger backed by lightly smoky undertones of charcuterie meats and minerals. It’s very polished and evenly paced, lean and stylish, with a pristine length of penetrative, delightfully measured fruit tightly integrated with fresh, high quality oak, finishing with persistence and a taut, brittle acidity.
Wonderfully textured and artfully focused, this stylish chardonnay has a complex, smoky and slightly funky bouquet of translucently clear grapefruit, melon and white peach lifted by scents of white and yellow flowers, ginger and clove with undertones of creamy nougat and matchstick oak. Tightly shaped by a line of brittle, citrusy acids, itÕs generously flavoured and seamless, culminating in a lingering, tangy and finely balanced, mineral finish.
