Out of stock

Yeringberg Marsanne Roussanne 2003

Dusty, dry and savoury, this complex, nutty and chalky wine has a light lemony perfume of apples and cloves with tightly integrated fine-grained oak influences. There’s length and tightness, with a fleshy middle of nutty stonefruit and citrus flavours. Quite assertive for this label, it does finish with customary length and restraint.

Winery

Yeringberg
Yeringberg is unquestionably one of the most significant sites in Victorian viticulture, making small volumes of fastidiously grown wine in the cellars beneath its historic 19th century winery. Its hallmark elegance, restraint, perfume and intensity tend to help its tiny volumes of wine age quite beautifully. While the Viognier lacks its usual refinement, the 2013 whites stand up very well indeed. The Burgundian varieties are responsible for the highlights of the current wines, but in suggesting that it's important to add that the overall standard is again very high and consistent. Yeringberg's wine encapsulates what has made the Yarra Valley special for nearly 170 years.
