Scorpo Pinot Gris 2023
A stylish, elegant, gris whose spicy fragrance of fresh pear, apple skin and lychee is lifted by a musky floral note. Round and creamy, but retaining all the shape and focus it needs, it’s unctuous and richly flavoured, moving gently and effortlessly towards a faintly sweet but refreshing finish balanced by mouthwatering lemony acids.

Scorpo
Somewhat under the radar, Scorpo has one of the Mornington Peninsula's finest vineyards which regularly produces stylish and restrained expressions of finely textured pinot noir, chardonnay, pinot gris and shiraz. The coming into production of the company's close-planted vineyard has given Paul Scorpo's team more options to work with, and has opened the door to some stellar wines under the Eocene Chardonnay and Pinot Noir labels. Completing this stellar range are some terrific wines from pinot gris/grigio and shiraz. Despite some upwards movement in recent years, the wines remain under-priced and to my mind represent exceptional value.
