Winery
Pike and Joyce
This joint venture between Pikes Wines (Clare Valley) and Joyson Orchards (Lenswood) in the Adelaide Hills is responsible for a typically well made and varietally correct collection of elegant cool climate wines. The usually shapely and mineral Chardonnay is usually the flag bearer amongst a fine, pristine collection of white wines, each of which delivers beautiful varietal purity. In particular, the Sauvignon Blanc is a spotless of frequently mineral wine - poles apart from what most Marlborough expressions deliver. The reds are steadily improving, led by some very delicious pinots with pleasing textural and savoury qualities.
