Houghton is the most significant of the various Accolade Wines operations in Western Australia and is currently one of the jewels in the crown of Western Australian wine, since it ably and appropriately connects its rich traditions with brilliant contemporary style. From the inexpensive Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon upwards to the Jack Mann cabernet blend from the Justin Vineyard at Frankland River, its wines deliver exemplary quality, finesse and value. The Jack Mann is now promoted into the elite group of 5-Star wines. The common feature throughout the Houghton range is their freshness, elegance and balance between fruit and winemaking artefact, since they marry depth and complexity with a very high level of technical winemaking competence.
