Winery

Grant Burge
In the first half of 2015 the Grant Burge brand and the Krondorf Rd winery were purchased by Accolade Wines from Grant and Helen Burge. Grant Burge will continue to make the reds under contract for the brand at the Illaparra winery in Tanunda and remain the public face of the brand. The Grant Burge label has evolved into a significant brand with several tiers of wine, plus a number of special run labels along the lines of big company limited releases. Its most interesting wines are the red Rh™ne blends named Abednego and The Holy Trinity, each of which reflects Grant Burge's enthusiasm towards Barossa grenache. The brand is still expanding with new labels and ideas, of which I most enjoy the brightly flavoured and refreshing Chardonnay and Pinot Gris whites under The Vigneron label.
