Perhaps the most sophisticated and savoury sauvignon blanc yet from this maker and a real Loire Valley look-alike, with an intensely aromatic bouquet of gooseberries, dried herbs and creamy yeast-derived notes lifted by delightful floral perfume. Initially round and very intense, its precise flavours of gooseberry, melon and a hint of passionfruit extend long and gentle towards a nutty, savoury finish punctuated by a vibrant, lemony finish.

Cannibal Creek
There isn't a lot of Australian varietal sauvignon blanc that rival the best from the Loire Valley in France, but Cannibal Creek comes very close. This vineyard typically produces a wine of intense passionfruit and gooseberry flavour and nervy acidity supported by a fine, powdery and mineral backbone of tightly knit phenolics. They also age slowly and retain freshness. Sourced from other vineyards in the region, the Hardiker Sauvignon Blanc is rather more austere and briny.
