Alkoomi Black Label Chardonnay 2002
Shapely, elegant chardonnay with a delicate, smoky and earthy, appealingly reductive and lightly cheesy bouquet of grapefruit, melon and pineapple flavours over hints of toffee apple. Round, soft and elegant, it’s long and savoury, earthy and nutty, with an excellent core of vibrant citrus and tropical fruit, finishing with crisp, lemony acids.

Winery
Alkoomi
Alkoomi was one of the founding vineyards of the Great Southern region. Located in the northern Frankland River sub region, its recent vintages are returning to the style and structure upon which they developed their reputation. Leading the current releases are the Melaleuca Riesling from 2016 (95/100, drink 2028-2036), a wine of classical perfume, purity and longevity, plus the elegant and restrained Blackbutt blend of red Bordeaux varieties from 2010.
