Revealing nuances of funky development and restrained older oak, this spotlessly made and savoury semillon has a delicate, waxy and maturing bouquet of moderate intensity. ItÕs long and complete, with a fresh cut of lively acidity, but its fruit jacks lacks the emphasis and expression for a higher rating.

Alkoomi

Alkoomi was one of the founding vineyards of the Great Southern region. Located in the northern Frankland River sub region, its recent vintages are returning to the style and structure upon which they developed their reputation. Leading the current releases are the Melaleuca Riesling from 2016 (95/100, drink 2028-2036), a wine of classical perfume, purity and longevity, plus the elegant and restrained Blackbutt blend of red Bordeaux varieties from 2010.
