Potentially a true step up for Australian rose, this measured and artfully balanced wine unfolds a deeply scented bouquet of raspberries, red cherries and tangerine lifted by white rose petal aromas abd backed by restraiend creamy, nougat-like notes. It's long, generous and mouthfilling, with a vivacious core of fruit entwined around a pithy spine of drying extract, extending long and frisky towards a refreshing finish of racy acids and a lingering savoury, saline note. Very impressive and deserving of its gold medal status. And of course you can drink it now!

MMAD Vineyard
The team from Sahw + Smith, comprising Michael Hill Smith, Martin Shaw, Adam Wadewitz and David LeMire, are partners in this exciting new label which produces a collection of four wines from a vineyard planted in Blewitt Springs in 1939. The site is typically sandy and the wines it produces are fragrant and made to enhance perfume and flavour, perhaps in a style that is more European than traditional Australian.
