Winery

Skillogalee
Skillogalee is one of the Clare ValleyŐs small family run wine businesses. Its vineyards were planted in the 1970s, at a comparatively high altitude of 500 metres and it commissioned its new winery in 2007. Skillogalee's rieslings are at the textured, pulpy, mineral end of the Clare Valley riesling spectrum, and its Gewźrztraminer is a wilder, more evolved and meaty expression with dryness and length. Its reds are typically elegant and restrained, relaying on their length and balance for longevity. The 2012 Trevarrick Shiraz retains brightness and minerality while the Basket Pressed Shiraz from the some vintage appears to have been made from very stressed and overripened fruit. The property contains a very popular restaurant and boutique accommodation facilities.
