Bird in Hand is an established Adelaide Hills producer based near Woodside. Its reds are typically quite ripe and relatively alcoholic Đ it's found in a warmer part of the region Đ while the Chardonnay can be fine and tightly focused. The company's leading wines are sold under the 'Nest Egg' label. For mine, they can show a touch too much ripeness and a shade too much overt oak.
